The kitchen specialises in tandoori kebabs, sealed-pot dum biryani and slow-cooked Mughlai curries — all halal, all built from hand-pounded spices. The restaurant is also one of Sydney's only #PhoneFreeDining venues, asking diners to surrender their phones at the door for a more present meal.

A decade later, founder Sanjeev Sharma — drawing on 30+ years across the global hospitality industry — has built a 4.2★ Hills District institution known for hand-pounded masalas, Riverina halal lamb, Steggles halal-certified chicken, and its signature Sharabiya house brew. The restaurant pioneered #PhoneFreeDining in Sydney, asking guests to lock away their devices in exchange for a printed dossier on the meal. From 19–21 May 2026, Kebabiya marks ten years by bringing back the six original dishes from its 2016 opening menu.
