Founder
Kebabiya is the vision of Sanjeev Sharma, a culinary expert with over three decades of global experience in the food industry.
Recognising that Indian cuisine in Australia was often limited to curries, he sought to showcase the timeless flavours of kebabs, biryanis and tikkas as the centrepiece of Indian cuisine.
At Kebabiya, every kebab is prepared fresh to order, reflecting a commitment to authenticity, flavour, and the timeless elegance of Indian culinary tradition.
Co-Founder
Partnering with Sanjeev’s vision, Sona joined Kebabiya in 2019 and has since played a pivotal role in shaping the brand. She is the creative force behind many of the recipes and ideas that have contributed to its growing success.
Recently, Sona envisioned the restaurant’s rustic interiors, bringing warmth and character to the dining experience. Drawing inspiration from her reading and travels, Sona continues to evolve and refine her aesthetic philosophy.
Philosophy
The vision of Kebabiya is to bring families together in warmth, celebration, and shared joy. Embracing the timeless tradition of family eating together, the restaurant introduced artfully assembled sharing platters designed for four guests, encouraging families and friends to gather, converse, and break bread together.
To preserve the spirit of genuine connection, Kebabiya also encourages Phone-Free Dining experience, allowing guests to set aside distractions and truly savour the flavours, the company, and the meaningful moments shared at the table.

Gracefully tucked away from the main street, Kebabiya rests upon a charming terrace overlooking the lush landscapes of Sydney’s north-western suburbs. In the distance, the majestic Blue Mountains form a breathtaking horizon, offering a serene and picturesque backdrop.
With its warm, rustic interiors, the restaurant exudes a welcoming charm. As the sun sets, the horizon glows in shades of orange, pink, and red, creating a spectacular display across the sky.
